Bought it used for $3500.00
And I knew it had issues from the beginning. The previous owner told me about the axel issue, and I could see the tires were bald. I knew I would need to replace the timing belt as he never did. But I needed a car and , after calculating expected expected repairs, I estimated I would wind up paying less than 10,000.00.
And that has proven to be true. I replaced the brakes, the front and rear axels, timing belt and the cooling system repairs, plus new tires so far. I’ve had it a year and not once has it failed to start or given any other kind of trouble, like transmission or any engine issues. The engine itself still sounds and acts strong though shifting is slightly sluggish, but that’s typical of this model.
Interior is rather flimsy, the plastic parts, but I just remove most of them and don’t worry about it. The drivers side mirror broke when I was pushing on it with my hand instead of using the electric controls, so that’s my own fault.
It’s not as sporty as I would like looks wise, but it is a very dependable commuter car which is exactly what I use it for and what it is meant for, basically.
