When to dealership with appointment and truecar quote and trade in quote from Atlantic Hyundai and found vehicle with sales lady Sandra within 15 minutes. From there it took Over 5 hours and 2 days to close deal and we paid all cash. Total lack of communication and understanding and knowing there military incentive program. Never again

Almost three hours waiting they make it seem like they are doing everything they can but are only trying to get you frustrated so you will sign anything just to get out of there. BE Careful they changed our paperwork from 5 years to six we walked out that place should be investigated

Oil Change
I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation on Saturday, 10/16. I left the dealership with the confidence that they had improved their service. However, later that day to find out that the car was leaking oil all over my driveway, the fluids were not topped off and then wondered if the service was even completed let alone completed correctly. I had to take off from work and find a location to have an oil change done over because the drain plug was missing and had very little oil left in the car. I understand mistakes happen but these mistakes can cost more expensive problems. I made a complaint to be told we apologize for this inconvenience but Atlantic Hyundai is a mechanical based business and mistakes do happen. So, I am to believe that if I needed a tire replaced and the mechanic did not tighten the lug nuts that I should over look the problem which could have been a bigger problem because Atlantic Hyundai is a mechanical base business and mistakes are made. This is an unacceptable response from a Dealership to a customer. I trusted in Atlantic Hyundai to service my car correctly and to provide a multi-point inspection only to be told by the advisor that the car is perfect. How would he know. It is about trust and perception. If a customer perceives that she/he is not receiving excellent service it is their right to express their dissatisfaction. Even if the mechanic replace the drain plug and it was not tight enough and it fell out as oppose to him forgetting to put the drain plug in the end result was still the same. It cost the customer time and money. Since this was a complimentary oil change I wonder if the response would be different if I had paid for the service. Either way complimentary or not mistakes like this should not happen. I also requested a tire rotation and wonder if that was completed as well. I inquired at the shop who completed the oil change to rotate the tires only to find my wheel lock is not in my trunk. I have no problem rating excellence service if that was what I received but I did not. The only way to get the attention of Atlantic Hyundai is to give rate their service. Otherwise you will see no results. I do not feel confident and their is no trust that the service they provide is excellent or good. It seems they only provide excellent service to those they know or those that give them a good score. I am very disappointed in the Service I received and the response that I received. Again it is about perception and trust.

Horrible experience will never buy from Hyundai
I went to Atlantic Hyundai (193 Sunrise Highway North Service Road ,West Islip, NY 11795) to buy a 2017 Infiniti QX60. On Tuesday Sept 28 I went to inquire about the vehicle.  Left a deposit, after I left a deposit I was informed by the sales rep Michael Zeccardi, that the title for the car wasn’t in and it may take 48 hours for it to arrive. 

On Monday 10/11/21 I wanted to pull out the deal because I need a car and it’s taking too long for the title to come and I was feeling uncomfortable about the deal. 
Micheal reassured me nothing “fishy” was going on, he told me titles sometimes take a while to come. 
Then later on The title arrived Monday 10/11/21.
Tuesday 10/12/21 I went to the dealership to purchase the vehicle. 
The finance manager Jay Cooper greets me pleasantly and we proceeded. We went over financing options. 
The finance manager states ,My APR rate from the bank was 13 percent. I said there is no way when my credit isn’t bad. So then he states I just got an approval from another bank at 9 percent. 
I stated my credit isn’t bad for that interest rate I was pre-approved at capital one at a lower rate. He states Atlantic Hyundai doesn’t accept capital one. He was also very pushy about the warranty for the vehicle. Even when I said I didn’t want warranty, He didn’t give me options of the warranty , he told me what the warranty will be and the bank won’t give me a loan without it.
I told him I needed to think about my options and will let them know Wednesday 10/13/21. 
When I got home I resolved the issue , I was able to by the car cash. 

On Wednesday 10/13/21 I went to see the sales rep Michael. To discuss the option of buying the car cash because I was uncomfortable with the finance manager Jay cooper giving me high rate APR. 
Micheal spoke to the financing manager Jay Cooper , then all of a sudden a bank approved me at the APR rate I was quoted at capital one. 
Now I’m extremely upset that I was lied to that only one bank approved me at a APR of 13 , and as I refused the APR percent financing options , the APR percent finance options became lower.  

I said financing isn’t an option , I would like to pay for the car cash. Micheal said the pricing I received was a financing price and that the price will go up if i buy cash. I stated that won’t be an issue please give me the price. 

Micheal goes to the manger of used cars Troy Calabrese , and explained the situation. The manager stands up and started screaming on top of his lungs. “Cancel the deal , cancel the fucking deal , I won’t sell the car cash. I have 3 people waiting and willing to finance the car.”

Micheal then comes and try’s to smooth his manager behavior over and says it in a professional way after the whole dealership heard him being unprofessional and inappropriate. 

I said to Micheal I waited 2 weeks for this vehicle, and when I wanted to cancel the deal , you informed me all was well and convince me to proceed with the deal. Now your going to refuse a sale because I don’t want to finance and want to buy cash. 
The manager of used cars Troy Calabrese never gave me a cash price, They refunded my deposit and refused my sale. 

I was so embarrassed that the manager Troy Calabrese was acting that kind of way and speaking towards me in that type of manor . He made sure he was nice and loud for me to hear him. Not only did I hear him,the whole dealership did. 
Then everyone was watching, to see what was going on.

Was I taken advantage of because I’m a woman, or because I’m a black woman ?
All the white people I seen in the dealership was treated kindly and with respect.

I’m VERY upset on how I was treated. Dogs In America get treated better then how I was treated in Atlantic Hyundai on Wednesday 10/13/21.
Not once was I rude and disrespectful to anyone in that dealership. All I asked was for a cash price and I was denied a sale.

No follow up/info on headrest issue
Firts reported the issue of discoloring of headrest in Dec 2020, after inspecting the issue told a representative from Hyundai will come and inspect but due to covid hyundai is not sending any rep. I made an appointment for oil change on 7/15/2021 and also asked to check headrest. Atlantic hyundai did inspect and notified me that the headrest are discoloring badly and told me they will contact hyundai and ask for solution. After patiently waiting still no follow up/call from atlantic hyundai and today is 9/29/21. It has been more than 8 months and no resolution from HYUNDAI and Atlantic Hyundai.

Classic bait and switch
Contacted dealership about an advertised car. Was told had to come in to get final cost out the door could not do over phone. Seems weird since they offer contactless free sales. When I got there explained I was in a hurry just wanted the price and if it was good I would but that day. Was required to provide all my contact info first. Mike the salesman tells me he has to check with his manager to get me a price. Comes back it was $8000 over the advertised price for me to pay with cash. Would not recommend this dealership classic bait and switch.

my car died on the road
Sunday June 6th my car totally crapped out. It took 2 1/2 days to get it to the dealer (my issue, but they knew it was coming). Once it was finally there on 6/9 I was contacted by phone by Gina B. and I promptly submitted all my service records Gina my service coordinator. the same day. Since I did not have an appointment for my car for service (how would I have known it was going to die, but I did call them on 6/8 once I knew it needed to et to them), there was no way for them to know WHEN they would be able to look at my car. I patiently waited. On 6/15, after 3 unanswered messages had been left for Gina, who was off and no one could assist me, I had to reach out with an email to both Gina B and Tim Turnball. I did get a response after that, and I continue to be patient.
I am not in the car business, so I really don't know how this stuff works, I just know that I need a car. They could not help me with a loaner, and per them until the repair is approved under my contract, renting on my own might be dicey. So I continue to try to be patient. On 6/22, Gina notified me that they had the diagnostics completed and they were sending to the warranty company for review. And I continue to wait.
I reached out again this morning via email (as I was told this was the best way to communicate) and no response. Maybe Gina is off again today, but I was only asking if I could pick up the car seat for my grand daughter.
So I decided I needed to do something and I reached out to the the Hyundai Corporate office at 844.407.8341 and I learned my claim was approved on 6/23 and yet no one has contacted me. Since I only learned this after I finished my day of working, there is no one to talk to at Atlantic Hyundai, I was told there was no manager there that could help me. So I have sent another email to both Gina and Tim and I want to be hopeful that there is going to be some kind of a follow up on this and hopefully a loaner car or assistance with a rental, or better yet a repaired car, okay the later is probably too much to ask for at this point, but any help is better than NO HELP.

Worst Dealership Ever
My new car had paint defects that i noticed the day of purchase. I was advised that it glue. After the truck was detailed I was told that my 55k truck would have to get body work done on it. This place rushes you out the door after they get your moneym Buyer beware. I strongly suggest another dealership.

BUYER BEWARE!!!
Check consumer affairs & better business Bureau reviews of this dealership. Very deceitful with their financing paperwork.
You can call 100 times and be left on hold no one will talk to you once they’ve sold you a car and you’ll have to go to arbitration to fight them like I now have to do. Bad business. Thieves.

Place sucks
They lie and lie and lie. Treat you like scum. Very condescending and unwilling to work with you. Will say anything to get you in to the showroom, but once there, that's when the fun starts. Multiple salesmen lying to you. Empty promises. Can't say enough bad things about this place.

Promises delivered
I was referred to this dealership by a friend. They had a sales ad which looked too good to be true, so I called on it. I expected a runaround but I was told on the phone all the details of the pricing, including the rebates, fees, taxes, DMV. When I got there, there were no surprises. They honored their commitment and did not try to sell me add-ons. The paperwork was clean and transparent, the deal was truly phenomenal. Which brings me to where they lost the fifth star. The wait was unbearably long. Even though we were told on the phone they were busy, asked us to be patient, that it would be about an hour wait. Well, 4,5 hours later, as they were closing, we left along with the employees at 8:30. Even though the place was a zoo, there were employees who were available. One of them could have helped us instead of making us wait for one person. In addition to that, I purchased an electric vehicle, and they asked me how far a home, how much charge I need. You’re supposed to deliver the vehicle with a full charge, so I asked for a full charge. I was told they have only one charger (for the biggest volume dealership on this side of the Mississippi), and cannot fully charge my car. I would still recommend this dealership based on their financial accuracy and acumen and honesty. I would go back there to get my next car. Just be patient, give yourself plenty of time.
