I had been a loyal customer of this place for years. During this time, mistakes had been made (it happens) yet they always attempted to make things right. So I continued bringing in my cars as needed (I have 6 vehicles). I dealt with the owner (very nice) who always worked to keep my business.
Every time I brought in one of my cars, I was able to drop it off to have them take a look at it. They’d typically text me indicating what was wrong with the vehicle and what the cost would be to repair it. At that time I would usually have them fix it but always had the option of not moving forward…without cost.
Apparently, that’s all changed. The last time I brought my SUV in to be checked, I was told they’d check it and let me know what the problem was (just like all of the many times before) however, when they reached out to me this time, it was to say there would be a $75 charge to tell me what was wrong. I was never told this when calling in before dropping it off. In fact, I was told I could drop it off, it would be checked and if they’d let me know what was going on with the car just like in the past.
I called into the shop and spoke with the same young kid I met with when dropping it off. He was rude and condescending telling me it would be $75 to “check my car”. I mentioned I was a long time and loyal customer and had never been asked to pay to have any of my cars checked before. He said, we charge $75 now to check all cars…”it is what it is”. I told him I was not happy with the change and questioned why he failed to tell me this over the phone BEFORE asking me to drop it off to be checked. He said he thought I knew about the change. Upset, I told him was would be forced to take my business elsewhere…his response to a loyal customer was “that’s fine”.
The management of this place has apparently changed from the customer service oriented owner I used to deal with. Very unfortunate.
I’ve been a customer here for 9 years. I have received excellent service every time. Denise is great at what she does. Joe is the best. I love this place.
I got an oil change and it was such great service. They got it done really fast and the man who was helping me was amazing. I forgot his name but he worked yesterday at the front desk. Thanks again! Id come back every time
I had a great experience very fast service very friendly people clean environment and they even put air in my tire for me without me asking and found a different problem I need to take care of will definitely go back for any other of my car needs
First off I NEVER LEAVE BAD REVIEWS. Because I have worked in a body shop before so I know how hard it is. But this was absolutely unacceptable. I get there at 9am to drop off my car. They have no clue what talking about I explained i needed rear breaks replaced that i made an appointment the day before to drop my car off. They said that they were different place and they could still take me in it was “first come, first serve” so i leave my car and I wait to hear how much it will be. Everything was ok until 1pm when i ask for an update on when I should expect to pick up my vehicle. The lady at the counter says 3pm. 3pm im there to pick up my car. And my car is open hood in a stall, so I walk in and wait 5 minutes and then I ask when my car will be ready? The lady says 15 more minutes. I tell her im on my lunch break and i have only 30 minutes. I was told at 3pm. She explains that they need more time and i say ok thats fine.im not an unreasonable idiot, I can understand that. So i know they close at 6, I said I can come back after work at 5pm. Then the mechanic comes in and chimes in rudely “you need to be here before 6” i just walk away because I said already i would. 5pm and I get there and ask where my car is. The person at the desk starts looking frantically for my paperwork and keys. THEY HAD NO CLUE WHERE MY KEY WAS. I was beyond livid at this point. 15 mins passes and they found my key at his desk where he already was sitting at. So then he proceeds to tell me a price I didn’t agree upon. I ask for the manager and he says “i am the manager” i know he wasnt. At the end i paid i got out of there but I AM NEVER GOING BACK THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING TO SAY THE LEAST
I’ve been a customer of Discount Auto for years now. Their customer service is unparalleled! They keep you abreast of what your car needs, the amount of the service, and a pick up time. My car always runs better after my service inspections. Great mechanics that know what they’re doing. 5 stars!!!
I had previous work done on my vehicle only to have the same error code light up about 30 miles later. Took it back only to find a former employee didn’t complete the work and just cleared the code. After quite a bit of research on Discount Autos part they realized the error was on their end and they owned the unfortunate employee mistake. I most likely never would have known thinking I had supplied them with a faulty part and would have had to pay for a new part and the labor again. But thankfully they took care of the whole repair with no additional cost to me.
