A real angel - thanks so much Ernie
It was evening and all repair shops had closed down. We were frantic, had just returned from vacation having flown into FLL airport, on our way home to Canada, our almost new car was overheating with an odd smell we couldn't figure out. My wife wisely pulled over, and we were virtually trapped on I95 shoulder in VERY heavy traffic. Thank God we had cell phone, and by using our handy dandy $80 Garmin GPS, we were able to track down a few local car repair shops. After about 20 calls with no one answering, Ernie (owner of Mr. B's Auto) picked up and immediately offered to leave home and come see if he could figure out problem. He arrived in about 5-10 min and after quick inspection under our hood realized something was causing air fan to shut down. He waited with us till tow truck arrived - drove us to his shop 3 miles away - took us and our luggage to great local hotel - told us he would call in morning with news of repair. By 9am he had figured out we had a faulty electric connection, fixed the problem, drove our car around to make sure it was completely fixed; he picked us up an hour later from hotel after we had eaten, packed and showered - and charged us under $100 for repair. I couldn't believe his kindness, competence and honesty. Ernie really was a gift - an angel - at a point when we were highly stressed, in foreign territory, and not really knowing what to do. Thanks so much Ernie - you are an all star! I wish you only blessings in the days ahead as you and your wife gear up for a well deserved retirement. Also blessings to your three kids who must be very blessed to have such a great Dad. Thankyou! If you or wife are ever up Canada way, you have a place to stay for a night or two. Kev |& Suzanne
