Again I have reached out to Mr. Leonard and have answered his phone calls. But he will not let me speak. He has called countless times to yell at us and will not allow us to get a word in to try to resolve these issues he claims to have with his vehicle. Again it is hard to talk with someone that talks over you and makes threats the entire time when he calls. He has chosen instead to put disturbing reviews about our company to any venue he could find. Frankley I have no idea that his claims are genuine. He would not allow us to warranty the serpentine belt. I understand he feels that he does not want to bring his vehicle back to us, but we were never given the opportunity to make it right. I have no proof that his vehicle was repaired elsewhere and he will not allow me to speak. I've tried and I am done listening to him yell on the phone. I wish him well and if we would have had the opportunity, we may have been able to satisfy his concerns. Beth Strickland @ SS Auto Centers.
The first contact with this customer was by phone prior to 12/5/2017 asking for a transmission flush. He said he just bought the car, an 02 Lincoln which has 122,000+. He asked that we do a basic inspection to see if there were any issues we could tell him of. He was told that the serpentine was worn and asked if he knew when it was last changed. He said he did not know. We advised him to change the belt based on the high milage and wear. He agreed. Our tech checked the transmission fluid and it had a burnt smell and it was brown, the color for the Ford requirement is red ATF Fluid. We recommended that service. We have had many transmission changes through out our years of business and never had any such issues as the customer complained about. When Mr Leonard called our shop on Thursday 12/21/2017 approximately midday and told me the serpentine belt had broken. I asked if he had driven the car or if the car had over heated. He said he pulled the car over quickly and it did not get overheated. He was in north Phoenix, Arrowhead area and asked if we could tow the car to our shop. I explained we did have a car trailer but could not immediately go to get the car. I explained we had prior scheduled vehicles to get out that day and make sure the car was in a safe place until we could get late in the day or the next. He said it was in a neighborhood and would ask the homeowner if he could leave it there to be towed later. I told Mr Leonard to call me back and we would pick up his car. Since we had the serpentine belt on the 5th of December we would have covered that repair. No mention of transmission problems at all. Mr Leonard never called back until Sunday December 24th to now complain of a transmission problems, which if that were the case it was never brought up on the Thursday 21st call about the broken belt. The car never was driven after the belt broke, so when did that issue of his transmission problem occur? Again never mentioned transmission problem prior to the Christmas Eve call. On the 24th, Christmas Eve, Sunday, yelling now about his transmission not working at all. He accused us of lying, unprofessional service along with serveral threats to damage to our business. Mr. Leonard would not allow me to speak and so I ended the call. He proceeded to call back eight more times. I did not take those eight more calls. Then he went to every source to write very unfavorable reviews, approximately eight about SS Auto Center. We were not open on the 24th but I have the shop calls forwarded to my personal phone incase of an emergency. This all of a sudden was not an emergency. For almost Five years we have held a 4.7 star rating of favorability. Beth Strickland, owner of SS Auto.
