When some dashboard warning lights started coming on, one place said they couldn't do anything, sever
al couldn't even get me in, one charged over $100 for diagnostics, then said it was a speed sensor that was on backorder and would cost over $1000 to install. When the transmission started acting up, I took it to my usual place who initially said I might need a tuneup that would cost over $500. They admitted to installing the wrong size tires but did not make a connection between that and the speed sensor and the transmission. They then said I needed a transmission that would cost $3000-$5000. I stumbled into Skrrt. The mechanic took his time in diagnosing the issue and said I didn't need a new transmission, that installing the right size tires would fix the problem. They took their time in finding the best deal on 3 new tires, and saved me tons of money. They didn't even charge for their time in diagnosing it. The car still has some issues but is driving better than it has in months. I think I found a new usual place.
