Chevy Equinox 2011

This vehicle has been a great car except for all the repairs having to be done to it. I feel like I purchased a lemon. Too many repairs to mention. And I wish that the a/c was in the rear too, that would be the only reason as to not purchase another one.

Enjoyable to Drive

I have enjoyed owning this vehicle for the past 2 years. It handles so good on snow and ice with the AWD . It is roomy.

2011 LTZ Equinox

Probably the best all around car I've ever owned and I've owned many! I didn't like the car and driver report on the replacement model showing smaller and hard seats and smaller size with less usable interior space. Also, said to have a less than expected ride experience . If I had one complaint it would be blind spot in rear corner . I was hoping GM would have come out with side warning on the 2015 model . If they had I would have purchased staying with this platform. Seems like whenever GM gets something write they change direction, what a shame! Larry Ziman........Waverly,NE

Love the SUV but was disappointed in how soon I had to replace the transmission.

Great car but dont leave the dealership without a warranty. (Extra coverage). They were great about fixing the transmission. Didnt overcharge me and also dealership was able to work with GM to get a portion of the cost covered. Overall a nice vehicle. I would rate great if not for the trabsmission issue at 80k miles.

This is my second Equinox. It is just the right size for driving, parking, carrying things, etc. and runs very efficiently. When this one's mileage gets high, I'm sure I will buy another Equinox.

I love it, but

I love everything about my Equinox except the engine. It doesn't have enough power for the car and always seem like it's working too hard to get up a hill or when you step on the gas to move in a hurry. ..whic h it doesn't.

Unexpected expenses

The tires and wipers are extremely expensive. Personally, I don't like the lock switch by the radio either.

Chevys five star winner

Purchased the car from H&H Chevy and was the owners personal demonstrator. Engine had a knock and was completely replaced under warrant at 10K . Car has performed flawlessly and is used mainly on long road trips. I'm very fussy about my cars and I plan on keeping it as a second car eventually and purchase a new Equinox provided they keep the same design concept and add side traffic warning alert! 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, AWD

Nice pick up. Good in the snow. Mfg specs say burning 2 qua of oil between oil change is normal. Not impressed. Rear storage restricted by space taken up by wheel wells. Blind spots significant to left and right of rear window. Back up camera on rear view mirror seems obstruct view backing up. Hands free phone very sensitive in terms of understanding names of people driver intends to call.
