Amazing plug-in hybrid!
I purchased my Ford Escape PHEV directly from Ford in July 2022, as no local dealer had even one in stock. This car has exceeded my expectations in every way. It will drive about 45 miles on a full electric charge before switching to the gas engine. Most days, I drive less than that. I put gas in the tank about every 6 weeks unless we take a long drive. When the electric charge is used up, it switches smoothly to the gas engine. I charge it in a regular electrical outlet overnight. The car has heated seats and steering wheel, a power lift gate, and a good size navigation screen. Current gas mileage is about 120 mpg. First oil change needed at 12,000 mikes. A gem of a car. When I see a new Ford Escape on the road without the PHEV charge port, I wonder why they didn’t choose this version instead? My husband also loves it, preferring to use it for local errands rather than take his Colorado. Didn’t expect that!
