Good on gas -- rough ride

I normally average between 35 - 40 mpg depending on the type type of driving I do on that tank of gas. (those are real MPG based on the # of gallons of gas I put in the car / by the # of miles I get of those gallons of gas. Car rides a bit rough and bounces a lot to one side or another when hitting a pot hole of frost hump in the road. It has been a good value for the money. I paid $18K for it brand new and now have 20K miles on the car in just one year. - No repairs in the 1st year just normally Preventive Maintenance (PM)

It's not that great.

Well the front is a pain in the rear, it is too dang low, you cannot see the hood. And there are blind spots because of the windshield side post. Also the tires are in the yellow zone and there is only 15,000. Miles. CHEAP HANCOOK TIRES, "I mean really". How cheap can you get? It is very good on gas, the suspension does NOT hold the road. We will not repeat this car ever. And just maybe we will search for a different company.

Beats my old car

I love my Elantra. I traded my 1999 Dodge Stratus in a a down payment for it. It's nicer and it gets better gas mileage. 55,500 miles on it and it's doing great.

2016 Elantra

I have leased this vehicle with very good terms. The routine care given to the car by Colonial Hyundai is excellent and the care package purchased with the lease is an excellent value. The car handles well and has had absolutely no problems since I have had it - about 18 months. The ride is smooth and the acceleration quite good. The finish and trim are looking exactly as they did the day I got the car. One of the best cars I have driven for comfort and performance - and I am previous BMW and Volvo owner. I will be staying with Hyundai for my future vehicle needs.

Over-all opinion

Slight hesitation when going in and out of traffic. Mp3 player through USB port unpredictable upon start up. AC takes too long to get cold and cool off interior.

I love this car. It drives very smooth and comfortable.

This car is easy to drive. We have been on several long trips with our young grandson and he is quite comfortable in the back seat. It is great on gas! We feel safe knowing we have a dependable car.

Disappointed

It doesn't have a smooth ride. The wipers were the worst I ever had. Tire traction is terrible with just a little bit of snow cover. I'm glad I leased it.

Great Car! Fabulous Mileage & Performance

This car's got it all! Performance, Good Gas Mileage, Great Looks, Great Legroom for A Tall Guy (6'5") I used to think it was an around town car until I decided to take it on a trip to New Orleans (13 hours each way) just to see how it went. It was every bit as comfortable as my Sonata! Only difference is I got 38-40 mpg with the Elantra! I love this car and will buy one again. (Don't get me wrong, I love my Sonata too!)
