I Love my 2017 Elantra SE!
I turned 60 in 2017, and I decided that if I wanted one more new car while I could afford one I had better buy it then. My previous car came from Hyundai of El Paso, so I searched the website and chose a sensible, white Accent, but in the two days before I got to the dealership. the car I chose had been sold. The salesman who worked with me, Steve "Gator" Sanders, worked very hard searching 4 big lots of Hyundais, and we didn't find any cars which fit my very specific criteria. He suggested a slightly more expensive model, a red Elantra SE, that met all of my requirements. I really didn't want a RED car. A sporty, red car for a man my age just means that the old guy is trying to hold on to lost youth, so I was resistant to the very idea of owning this car. Then, I test drove the car and fell in Love! The clutch is a bit touchy, but the torque is adequate, and the shifter is precise, The handling is exact with no slippage--the car goes exactly where I want it to go with no screeching of tires or sliding. I don't drive aggressively unless aggressive driving is needed, and my pretty, red Elantra does perfectly what I need it to do. I hope this is not my last car, because now I really want a RED Veloster!
