It's all electric

I would rather drive an all gas powered vehicle, because I never driven a gas powered vehicle in my life. Besides, nobody wants to buy electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are useless. Electric vehicles will be sledgehammer. Thumbs downđź‘Ž to electric vehicles and thumbs upđź‘Ť to gas powered vehicles.

Awesome vehicle!

Absolutely love this vehicle. I believe it’s a bit over priced for the interior, but over all no major complaints. The vehicle does exactly what you expect. When it comes to the free charging, maybe more options on where to charge. I tend to have to wait along with every other EV that got the same deal at the only location we have here in Colorado Springs.

Overall an excellent vehicle

This is my first EV. Great range, very reliable and predictable, very spacious - even in the back seat. Very comfortable, and has partially reclining rear seats. Very responsive acceleration, fun to drive - even more fun than my previous vehicle, a Kia Stinger.

Fun car

Loving the car so far--1 week and about 250 miles in. Quiet ride, responsive performance, fun to drive--especially with very customizable regenerative braking controls. Bluelink integration is pretty good, with my only minor critique being that I'm not getting trip history back on my phone correctly.

I love it!

I love everything about this vehicle! I love the comfort, safety, technology, design; I mean everything about it is just great! I highly recommend this vehicle if you're thinking about choosing Hyundai and an electric vehicle in general!

After driving for about a month...

I first leased it in early September 2024, and although there were some minor issues after the lease took effect, I have been riding it without any issues so far. I was a little disappointed that some features were missing in the 2024 model compared to the 2023 model, but the maintenance cost is low due to charging promotions, etc.

First experience with an electric car

This vehicle is very well made. Very solid. My model is FULLY equipped, so much so that I'll probably never appreciate all the features. Fun to drive. Great driving position. Love the collision avoidance warning on the heads up display. Only knock on it is that in hot weather with the air conditioning on, it doesn't get the mileage represented on the screen.

Love my EV but not the dashboard display

This is my first EV and am so glad that I bought one. I wish that my car was larger because I have 4 grandchildren. But it is very comfortable for just me and I do love the way it drives. I don't like the dashboard display because it doesn not have ease of use.

First electric vehicle

After 1000 miles the first month, we’ve been enjoying the Ioniq 5. The acceleration is excellent. The options are complete. We can’t ask for anything more. We did notice that the amount of miles between highway driving and city/country roads is quite a difference. But the 270 miles to a full charge seems to be quite accurate. The seats are extremely comfortable and the rear seats have a surprisingly large amount of space. Overall we are very pleased with the car at this time.

Fun to drive. Elegant interior, great gadgets, smooth ride. Well built, solid performance in a beautiful package. Charging is a breeze and the reminders are thoughful. Highly recommended for Oahu, Hawaii.

Ioniq 5 hits the mark!

We currently have a 2012 Genesis and traded in a twenty year old 2004 Buick Ranier suv for the Iconiq 5 SEL. We were interested in an EV for our second car and decided to lease to see if it fits our needs. I did quite a bit of research and decided to test drive the Iconiq 5 when Hyundai offered $15k off the MSRP. I don’t consider the Iconiq 5 a luxury vehicle, but was pleasantly surprised by the comfort, the road hugging handling, and the amazingly quiet ride. The vehicle actually has more room than we expected and easily carries a couple sets of golf clubs in the back without having to fold down the rear seats. It is really just fun to drive. It is a little more complex getting behind the wheel of an EV after driving gas powered vehicles all my life. Then there are all the new safety and convenience features that are available. I had to do a lot of reading in the manual and I am still learning how to operate all the features. Learning how to operate everything has been the biggest challenge so far, but it has also been fun to see all the advances that have been made. I enjoy the entire EV driving experience so far. We live in the country and drive 50 miles to town and don’t take many long trips so there is no stress with charging on our $300 home charger that should do a full charge in 5.5 hours; we have never used it more than three hours. Insurance increased $200 per year over the cost of the 20 year old suv. We are loving it so far.

Quiet and smooth handling, incredible high end technology, we are thrilled!

My husband and I did our homework, test drove several different makes and models of vehicles over a 4-5 month period, asking all the questions and reading all we could find on hybrids, hybrid plug ins and EVs. For us it came down to two vehicles and hands down the IONIQ 5 far surpassed what we were looking for. The interior is fantastic, it has so much room and comfort, the tech is high end with nothing lacking. So much thought has gone into this vehicle, from the smooth handling to the great choice in interior design (fresh, neutral and clean). We have so many people asking us about this vehicle, and plenty to say!

Great car; two misfires

This car needs a rear wiper. Car horn only emits a loud "HONK" when you press decidedly on the horn. I need a "beep" feature, to alert the guy in front of me to put down his cell phone and proceed onward on green.

This car is really good.

This car is really good. Ther problem is the charging system around my home. I have to wait toooooo long. Also, the charging price very high compared with Tesla super charger. Otherwise, the car itself is really good.

Over all satisfied with the handling of the vehicle. The battery could do a little better when using the air conditioner (drain the battery down quick) Top 5 in EV ...we recommend highly to anyone who wants a EV

Sales person John Carlo was very thorough and great salesman and made us feel comfortable in buying electric. We never thought we would buy electric until Sansone Hyundai gave us the opportunity to lease the Hyundai ionic 5. It drives great and look forward to the next model.

First EV

A beautiful car with so many cool features that make it fun to drive. It is a very comfortable drive. Our favorite feature so far as we are in the hot weather season, is the ventilated seats. Also it is great to create your driver profile so that your seat and mirrors adjust to your personal preference. My taller husband loves that when you get out of the car the seat goes back so he doesn't struggle to get in after I have been driving.

Received excellent customer service from dealership

The IONIQ5 is an SUV with features of a luxury car. It rides smoothly, comfortable seating and spacious. Back seats are comfortable for a tall person. Bose sound system is great and the surround view monitor makes it safer to drive.

Terrible experience

The vehicle I thought I was buying based on the description has a range of 330 miles, takes no more than an hour to charge in a super speed charger and no more than 4 in a b charger. The range is no more than 240 fully charged. it takes 2:30 hours to charge (from 20 to 80%) in a super charger and 6 hours in a level 2. The service from Hyundai is terrible it is like their motto is no response and no care for the client once the vehicle leaves the dealership.
