Very Pleased
We have had our Ioniq for 14 months and have been very pleased. It is comfortable and quiet. The storage space is considerable for the size of the car. And the gas mileage is wonderful! We have the model in the middle (not basic, and not top-of-the-line) and it has the primary safety features that are helpful, along with the main creature comforts that we wanted. There are a few things we would like to see improved, but they aren't so bad that they would keep us from buying this car if we had it to do all over again: It took us a little while to get used to the vision out of the rear windows, but not seeing the top half of the vehicles behind us really hasn't caused a problem. There is a bit of a glare (from reflection of the top of the dash board) through the windshield and driver's window on sunny days. Gas mileage does seem to be influenced quite a bit by wind, temperature, and weight of the load, but our lowest tank average was 45 mpg; it is usually closer to 53 mpg, but has been even higher. We've also had a few chips in the paint and wonder if other types of paint/coatings would have chipped as easily. Our Ioniq has now traveled over 20,000 miles and we would recommend this car to others who are considering the purchase of a hybrid car.
