Highly Recommended for a couple or small family

Superlative ratings on this vehicle .This is my 2nd Kona.The five star crash ratings are accurate . My first (2019)was tboned , and walked away relatively unscathed .Which is why I straight out bought the 2nd one.

So Far So Good

I have this vehicle for a year now and still love driving it. I haven't put a lot of miles on it (COVID times has greatly reduced my driving distance) so I can't really speak to the overall longevity/quality. Otherwise, it is cute, fun to drive and easy to park.

Awesome car

Very comfortable stylish and quick. Cannot find a feature I dislike on this car. Good on gas very easy to drive . Personal adjustments are quick and easy to accomplish. Came in exact color I was looking for (green) loaded with features

Kona problems

The car was great at first, but after five months it started stalling when i would slow down. The check engine came on, took it to the dealership and they said i needed an oil change. So they gave me one. Not even a week later, it happened again but more frequently. Thats the last time i drove my car. Its been in the repair shop at the dealership for 5 months. They couldnt find the cause of the problem for a long time, and the had no ides what to fix. Meanwhile there was a recall on some parts of my car, but no fix. Finally they got the parts to fix only to be told that they have no idea when it will be fixed.

Excellent performing and comfortable car

I bought the Kona for me after getting a Santa Fe for my wife. She loves the car and the power it has. The Kona has excellent power when I need it and great gas mileage most other times. The car is very comfortable and having the long warranty coverage gives me peace of mind.

Love my Twisted Lime Ultimate

The Kona is a great little car and I absolutely LOVE the color, which was discontinued after 2020. I hope they bring it back. The turbo provides some nice get up and go when needed, handling is great -- it loves the curves. Gas mileage is over and above -- easily get 34 mpg with a mix of city/highway driving. I've got the Ultimate package and it comes with just about everything. The ONLY things I don't like about this car are: Road Noise - it has a lot of it. They could fix this with a little more insulation in the doors/floor. No heated steering wheel - I mean, seriously? It's got everything else BUT that. Other than those minor issues (well, road noise could be a major one for some - I can live with it), I recommend the car. The safety features on it are top notch. For the money, you would be hard-pressed to find as many safety features in other comparable models. The tech package is great too. It is definitely worth a look if you are in the market for a small SUV.

SUV Sports Car

All in all pretty satisfied with my Kona but find it a little small my Tucson was a better fit. Will likely buy another Hyundai for my next car but am in to another year an a half with my current lease.

Bang for your buck

When looking for a city car, with good gas mileage, and the ability to fit more than a typical sedan-- this was the way to go! I'm a traveling nurse, so I needed something reliable I could do a lot of driving in, and get good mileage doing. We like to hike and camp, so having a crossover was important for not only space (for moving frequently) but versatility when getting to hard to reach trails. Very satisfied with the Kona, overall. HOWEVER, the exterior plastic does scuff easily and the interior leather has torn from folding down the seats and having the seatbelt caught in between. Otherwise, it's a great car for being under $30k, and highly recommended for people who need a smaller city car, but want something more durable than a sedan.

The Kona is a small SUV and fits well with my needs. It does great on gas mileage and fun to drive, good for driving around the local areas. It also allows for small cargos which is a great plus for me.

My dream come true car.

I had a 2018 Kona in surf blue. I wanted the lemon lime green color but there were none on the lot. We were able to get exactly what I wanted in the first place in the 2020 Kona. It is the right color with a beautiful interior of black leather trimmed with lemon lime. The car runs so smooth and gets incredible gas mileage. We get compliments all the time on the look of the car. We love the upgraded sound system, sun/moon roof, larger engine, leg room, and amazing storage capacity. We moved a double recliner! The salesperson came out to see how that could possibly have ft. She was so impressed she was going to buy a Kona. We love this car!

My Kona Limited

My Kona is a Great little vehicle, Handles very well, ride is firm & controlled. It gets great gas mileage average 34 to 36 mpg around town the best around town was 41 mpg. The build is solid. Everything is easy to use.

Replaced our Saab 9-3 with a Hyundai Kona.

The Kona was the most comfortable and best handing car we drove when replacing our Saab 9-3. Highly recommend the Kona. It's a great car and the seats are wonderful to sit in for a long drive. 1.6L Turbo has great power and mileage. Smooth shifting transmission.

I would recommend this vehicle to anyone!

I love my Kona. It handles very well on the highway and on long trips in the mountains. The comfortable seats are enjoyable for travel both short and long distance. It is at the perfect height to just get in and out easily.

I love my Kona. It is so beautiful and it runs great. Its the first time that I ever bought a Kona before. It has a lot of toys. The only thing that I don't like about it that it doesn't have a donut tire or a spare. Other than that I love it.

Second Hyundai

Love my Hyundai . second one for me and i am hoping as good a vehicle as my first one. I love having electronics this time, elect windows, etc. as when i got a nail in my tire, it was letting me know which tire and how much pressure was left. that is a definite plus.

Great, but not a family friendly vehicle!

Great, but not a family friendly vehicle! If you have children, this is not the vehicle for you. At the time of purchase, children were not a possibility for my husband and I, so that factor was not in place for the decision of our purchase. Since, we've been blessed with a little one and there is simply no room and we are scrambling to find something different. This is in no way Hyundai's fault but rather operator choice error, however, I'd hate to see a family purchase this vehicle thinking it'll be great for small children.....IT IS NOT! Go bigger!
