Loving my new ride

I swapped a 2020 Elantra Limited, Red, for my 2024 "yellow highlighter" Kona SEL with convenience package. I did give up some convenience features but they were not worth the 10 percent pricing differential. I'm happy with what I have. A home link mirror and parking assist would be nice features, my checking account appreciates the 25% per month difference.

When entering the building, I was greeted friendly by an associate and then I was introduced to a sales representative (AJ); he walked me through the process and explained the benefits of a new Hyundai. The sales representative also showed me the new version of a 2024 Hyundai Kona which is a little bigger than the Hyundai Kona 2022 I had. The car looks nice inside and out; the screen has my name on it, that makes the car mine

My 2024 Hyundai Kona

I like the styling and color of my new Kona very much. I like the Hyundai Warranty. I have had a problem with my new car, but Hyundai has responded to it very quickly. All in all it is a very good SUV for the money

Where Quality Exceeds Expectations

The Kona is a perfect car for city travel and for families of 4. It has features standard with it that make it incredibly easy for anyone to drive and feel comfortable while doing it. The color selection is varied and allows for personality to shine while providing a safe environment for the passengers. It is not particularly fast but it is perfect for cruising and daily life.

Great little car!

Love the look of the 24 Kona. It drives great and has many upgrades similar to the bigger SUVs have. I downsized from a palaside and it has many of the same features . There are a few thing wish it had. No drivers side seat setting buttons. No power seats on passenger side.

nice but underpowered

was surprised to find out after purchasing that it does not have the agility to tow as others in its class. under powered for its size. MPG is 10 less than the elantra N. at this point i have seen 33 mpg going 62.

Hyundai 2024 Kona

Vehicle is extremely comfortable driving. The interior is well designed and quiet. It has great warning alerts to approaching vehicles and pedestrians. The salesman was easy to work with and very attentive.

Miles per gallon

All wheel drive gets less mpg than front wheel. Wish the Kona had come in a hybrid-gas model. Fit and finish are good so far. Handles well. Convenience and safety features are more than adequate. First aid kit and emergency kit an added bonus

So far, so good

Having the Limited edition, interior is very comfortable. Safety alarms well done. Still with some tech bugs but eventually goes away. Bluelink is for life too so that is convenient. Sound system is Bose makes the drive fun.

Kona

It seems like a good vehicle at a good price. It has superior technology for a car in this price range. I was pleased that the dealership never priced cars over the MSRP as the Honda dealership where I’ve bought my last three vehicles was charging $4000 over MSRP and refused to deal even though I had limited miles on my trade in.

only had the car a few months so far great

The Kona seems to be well designed and so far, fun to drive. The gas milage impressed me. Had one problem with blown fuse for the sunroof, don't know if this is going to be an issue. Advisor Jonathan Bickel was very helpful when I had to take the Kona in for a recall.

Really like the Kona but very unhappy with the the noise backing up up in the a.m. Very louse scraping squeaking noise. When it's cold out,yellow dashboard lights come on and I just noticed its telling ,me the camera isn't working. It takes a good half hour before lights go off.

Bug in the Appleplay system yet to be ironed out.

Other than the phone/texting technical malfunction that occurs regularly I love the car. Dealership is aware other Konas have the same problems and “they’re working on it. May take weeks or months, not sure”. Said it’s software issue and be patient. Hmm. Not what I wanted to hear.

Initial Review

Generally, nice vehicle. If you are used to a high-end vehicle, this may disappoint you. I find the interior cheaply made. I've only had it for a month, so my review may change over time. The warranty is terrific. The dealership was great. Time will tell if I recommend it or would purchase another one.

Love the car but...

The engine keeps starting on its own and the service department can't figure out why it keeps happening. Very frustrating. They have done diagnostics on the car and fob but can't find anything wrong, yet it keeps happening.

Buy experience at dealer was great.

Dealer experience was great, friendly staff and negotiation on trade in and final price. Ability to test drive was a plus, vehicle meet the expectations we were looking for. Would purchase another Hyundai product in the future if needed.

Love it!!

I love my 2024 Kona. The body styling is sporty and fun. The interior is spacious enough for my family of 3. I think it would be tight for 5 teen/adults or multiple car seats though. The trunk space works well for my needs, grocery shopping and hauling smaller things. It has a smooth and quiet ride. I love the Bluelink feature that allows me to remote start the car and also see that my doors are locked by checking the app. I have driven it in the snow now and it handled well with reasonably cautious driving. The gas mileage is unbelievable! The max I’ve had is 39 mpg! For city driving it lands in the mid to upper 20s! I’ve had 5 Hyundai vehicles at various times in my life and this is quite possibly my favorite Hyundai I have had! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic car, unremarkable engine

The vehicle overall is a good buy for a daily driver with space for family. The features available on the Kona have not disappointed and Hyundai's warranty lets me rest knowing I'm okay bo matter what.

Happy with my Purchase so far!

I have waited over ten years to replace my car and so far I'm happy with my choice of the 2024 Hyundai Kona. Love the new style, safety features, and overall performance. Time will tell if I can get the same value out of it as I did my previous car, 2013 Elantra, but I'm very optimistic.
