Great for what it can do
I would like to say first off that I am short, 5'3" tall, so although I have wanted a pickup for some time, I was not going to purchase a vehicle I had to climb into and couldn't see the corners properly to maneuver. I also wanted a truck I could actually fit in my garage-most trucks are too tall to fit. I loved the idea as soon as I saw one in ads and sneak peeks. I test drove the base model, because that was the only thing available at the time [10/21]. I enjoyed the ride, the seats, the steering, visuals, styling, you name it. My only criticism was the engine power, a little lagging in my opinion. So I purchased an SEL Premium with the Turbo without having even sat in that trim level. I don't have to climb in, though my mother who has back issues has a little trouble getting in. I have good visibility and the back up camera has great sight lines. The locking tonneau cover is a must in my opinion, which I love. The bed has two cubbies on the sides, plus a storage area in the bed itself. There are foot rests in the corner of the bumpers which work great for getting in and out of the bed. There is storage under the rear seats which holds your jack and can hold other tools. But I will say the rear seats are tight for average to tall adults, children and short people like myself are fine. I have seen owners fit 3 car seats in the rear by the way. The safety features work well -lane assist, cross traffic warning, and blind spot monitoring can be life savers. I have driven through 2 blizzards in Western New York on winter tires, with no issues and full confidence in steering, acceleration, maneuvering, braking, and traction. I have hauled a dozen bags of mulch, each 2 cubic feet, and closed the cover. I haven't towed anything yet, so I can't speak on that. I also had no problems with the transmission, which some complained about. Overall is this a full size truck? No, it's not, and I don't want to be driving one-I would have purchased one if that was the case. I wanted to do truck "stuff" without having to deal with the size and mpg of a full size truck. Which, by the way, I am averaging 26 mpg per tank of gas and I drive 17 miles a day 5 days of the week which is a combination of suburban, expressway, and city driving.
