I love my 2015 Santa Fe Sport
Before purchasing our 2015 Santa Fe, we looked at and test drove a number of similar cars. None of those in the same general price category had the special features we like so much. The keyless entry is simply the best. I love the fact that I don't even have to take my keys out of my purse to start the car. I also like the fact that I can't inadvertently get out of the car without turning it off without hearing a warning sound. (The car is so quiet that I'm not always aware it is still running. The hand-warmer on the steering wheel is wonderful. When your hands are cold, you are indeed cold. Love, love, love it. The best safety feature on the car is undoubtedly the warning sound when you turn on your blinker and there is a car coming up behind you. I would guess that is the single greatest cause of accidents -- pulling out in front (or into) another car beside you. The automatic tailgate operation is very nice. The improved feature on the newer Santa Fe cars is even better. I think the GPS is superior to most I have seen on even more expensive cars.
I have had three Hyundai automobiles. The third one -- the 2015 that I love so much -- was purchased after my 2013 was totaled when it spontaneously accelerated accross a road, with total brake failure, narrowly missing a high-voltage pole and crashing into a raised concrete island at a car wash across the street from the restaurant where I had just finished eating. Had I not hit the island, I would undoubtedly have crashed into the cinderblock wall of the car wash building. Since this occurred as a result of spontaneous accelleration and total brake failure, I felt confident that Hyundai would stand behind its product. At a minimum, I was certain they would cover the cost difference between what my insurance paid for a new car and the balance I had to pay. I filed all the necessary papers and was stunned to receive a letter from the company stating, "Sorry you had this accident -- NOT OUR FAULT!" Had I known that the company would NOT stand behind its products, I would never had bought this third Hyundai.
