Great Vehicle!
I love my 2017 Hyundai Sante Fe Sport! So far, I've had no problems that weren't covered by warranty, and that weren't quickly handled. This is a fun vehicle to drive around...not too big, not too small. My main reason I chose this vehicle is that my last full-sized 2002 Hyundai Sante Fe was extremely comfortable and easy to drive, and haul things in the back...which is the main reason I looked at another Sante Fe. The thing with the 2017 Sante Fe's was that they were made bigger than the same older model I previously had, and were too big for what I wanted. And, the 2017 Hyundai Tucson was smaller than I wanted. To clarify, I was primarily looking for something that would fit my need to haul many flat containers of tomatoes in, without stacking them, as I had been selling my garden tomatoes to a few restaurants in the area...and the size of the back cargo area was of utmost importance to me...but I didn't want a monstrous vehicle either. I needed the most back cargo space for the size of the vehicle that was possible. And, it is important to me that I can haul other, taller items, too, like large plants or larger furniture, etc. in the back. So, therefore, the back cargo bed starting height needed to be low enough so as to allow plenty of space for that sort of thing, because the height couldn't be too high either, with this kind of vehicle. I found other car brands to be taller in the back cargo bed height, which then didn't allow for hauling a very tall item in the back. I knew from my search that ended up with the purchase of my 1st Hyundai Sante Fe, that the Hyundai brand used the interior space the most efficiently when compared to any other brands I'd checked out. So, this time I went and compared the width, height, and depth of the back cargo space with other brands, such as the Jeep Cherokee and the Dodge Journey. Much as I also like Dodge vehicles, it turned out that, once again, the 2017 Sante Fe Sport won out in the "dimensions" department. Also, I was set on getting a Sante Fe Sport with a white exterior, but I REALLY don't like tan color for car interiors, and all-black interiors are depressing to me; and these interior colors are what they had in the lot for the white exterior Sante Fe Sport. So, I had to pay to get a car from another state driven here, just so I could get the white car/grey interior with black accents combo that I desired. FYI - Green struck a better deal with me because of that...Thank you Green Family Hyundai! Regarding comfort, I really liked the fabric version of the seats in my first Sante Fe, which was very comfortable. However, the option we had with the 2017 Sante Fe Sport only included leather seats, with what other options we wanted to be included. I realize most people want leather seats, but I've found fabric to be more comfortable than leather. There is more "give" to fabric seats, in my experience, which makes them more comfortable for longer trips. But I love that the leather in my 2017 Sante Fe Sport also features heated seats, which my last Sante Fe lacked...and this has proven to be wonderful here in the dead of winter! All I need in addition to the warm front seats is a nice, tall mug of hot cocoa in the console! : )
