My second brand new car

I bought my first car (new) in 1991. A pretty little white LX Honda Accord. With the diligence of an old single lady, I kept regular maintenance and never "drove it hard and put away wet." 368,000 miles later, this car is still dependable (my husband drives it when he's not in his pick-up). I plan to have my 2012 Tuscon as many years as I've enjoyed my Honda. I love driving it. Only hope I live that long!

MPG a dissapointment

One of the attractions when I bought this car was the advertised 30 mpg - even the mileage reimbursement doesn't make up for the average 19-20 it gets!

First New Car, Last One I'll Need To Buy

I've driven used cars all my life. I selected the Tucson for not only it's looks, but the AWD feature and the spacious rear storage area. Mechanically it is a solid car, and had amazing off the line speed for a 4 Cyl. motor. All the components have performed beyond my expectations and I expect to be able to retire and still be driving it

Tuscon 2012

Love this car. Only 3 issues that could be better addressed. 1) My passenger seat rattles. It has to do with the mechanisms inside - nothing to do but take it apart. I rather not have the expense so I rolled up a towel to separate the bottom seat from the back. 2) The road noise is more elevated than I'd prefer. 3) I love the design of the windows, however, there is a bit of limited site out the back end. I've been able to adjust seat & mirror to accommodate for that mostly. Otherwise, she's almost at 100,000 miles and runs like a dream. I still love her body style, the interior, and the flexibility with the back seats for loading camping gear, or home/garden shopping, etc.

Continual out of the ordinary issues

I purchased my car in January 2012. Since that time I have had the following issues::2015: could not get the car to pass inspection. Car was at dealer for a week before it passed. No documentation was made by dealer regarding what the issue was 2016: had new air conditioner compressor installed; had new computer installed as they could once again not get it to pass inspection. It would appear to me since the car is only in its 5th year these are unusual repairs
