Venue fulfills its purpose
In 16 months I have 14,000 miles on my 2020 Venue SE, 6-spd manual. It has averaged 44.5 mpg the entire time. The Venue is a great car for city and rural driving. My commute is 12 miles either by highway or scenic roads. Taking the scenic roads, I have achieved 56+ mpg. MPG has become a game to us. On the highway, this is a right-lane vehicle. The small wheelbase and high RPM's (2900-3000) make 70 mph seem like work to the little 1.6L. The gearing of the transaxle allows the Venue to scoot better than expected with the compromise of early upshifts and fairly high RPM's at highway speed. Storage is almost as clever as the Honda fit (I can accommodate two ice hockey players with their gear) and even toss in a fourth passenger if pressed. I bought the Venue with a $2,500 rebate, so the out-the-door price (after the dealer hidden costs) was sub $19,000. The cheap plastics are used where they should be used and the lack of armrest makes the front cabin feel wider. Overall, it's been a great car. BTW, with the 6-spd manual, it's a blast to drive.
