2006 C4S
When I went to look for my first Porsche the 997 Gen 1's were12 to 15 years old and in the sweet spot for resale value. I did extensive research and decided to look for a C4S, 2006 to 2008. Nationwide there were only 11 for sale at that time but fortunately there were 3 in SoCal so I was able to check out multiple cars. The one I originally wanted, an 07 Silver on Black sold as soon as I inquired. I then check out the other 2 and confirmed that the 997 Gen 1 was the right choice for me, just not the right cars. Then a new listing for a 2006 C4S Carrera white on Black full leather with Sport Chrono, 6 speed, color matching interior trim, with only 33, 900 miles came to the market 10 minutes from my house. Needless to say I jumped on the opportunity to see the car and once I went through the test drive and my own inspection I put a deposit on the car and schedule a PPI. The results of the PPI were great, brake flush and oil change need, plenty of clutch and brakes left, tires were new, SOLD!!! I have had the car for 13 months and have driven out 8,000 mile, mainly due to being home for Covid lock downs and having more time to take it out then I would normally have. The car is amazing, fast, quick, crazy handling, and sport mode has a exhaust note that is incredible for a stock exhaust. The car is so strong, those who own a Porsche understand this. You fell like whatever yo do to push the car it wants more from you. I quickly learned the harder you push it, the faster you go, the better the car is. It becomes tighter, more responsive, and gives you greater confidence in its abilities. Nothing like a fire breathing, oil burning, bone rattling, filling loosening Porsche 997. I think its the best of old and new Porsches, the last analog Porsche, and will be one of the best water cooled Porsches ever.
