Almost Perfect
We love Toyota! This is our second 4Runner & we've also had a Camry, Tacoma, & FJ in the past. We like ALMOST everything - but I have 4 complaints:
1) Interior is black and light grey and the grey is the part that you sit on. Unfortunately, it's light - stains from liquid or jean dye will show easily & it's also very delicate. A black and sturdy fabric would be ideal. This is supposed to be a rugged SUV, so this was a disappointment. 2) Along this same line - I wish that it was carpet free (like our FJ was). We hike, mountain bike, and have a dog. Plus it makes no sense to have carpet in a vehicle - it collect smells, dirt, and stains. 3) Horrible navigation. I feel like I'm using navigation from 2005, not 2015. Clunky and not user friendly. 4) The seats in the back fold down, but they should fold down flat. The 2010's did. This would be great for car camping or hauling. Bring this back! In my old 4Runner (2000) I simply took the back seat completely out. Not an option anymore. 5) Leather door panels, rests, etc. like I mentioned previously, it would be nice to have a more rugged finish for people who use it for adventures (which is how the 4Runner is advertised) I would prefer plastic, not soft leather on the doors. Plus, it's the SR5!! On the limited, sure, whatever, but the SR5 and Trail interior should be way more rugged and hold up to activities the drivers are using it for.
