2015 Toyota Prius-4
Outstanding fuel economy and reliability, obviously, are prime and this car delivers! I know several first-year 2000 Prius owners who still drive them today. So they convinced me to buy my 2015 Prius with confidence that it wouldn't disappoint. Comfortable power seating and full range of adjustments, including lumbar support. Great a/c and heating, even in stopped traffic jams. Front wheel drive handles very good in snow and ice. Acceleration is better then the critics say it is when in "power mode", but obviously, the mileage suffers if you leave it in power mode. Roomy seating and ample cargo area. Awesome JBL stereo. Over all, this is a great car for what it is - a top of the line reliable and affordable hybrid for frugal people over the long haul, and it will last for years as my friends have proven to me. I'm very happy with my Prius purchase that I made 18 months ago and I would do it again. While no car is perfect, neither is the 2015 Prius: Aside from the speedometer readout, the other instrumentation readouts are confusing and bunched up which makes it difficult to read details at a glance while driving. Telescopic steering wheel doesn't pull out far enough for a person, like me, with long legs and not so long arms to be comfortable on longer drives. - T-rex (Tyrannosaurus) syndrome? The base navigation option, in my Prius-4, is awful! The audible driving directions half the time are garbled and sometimes hard to understand. It's also difficult to program a new destination into it. I have to rely on my simple to use dash top Garmin for ease of navigation and programing. Heated front seats don't have temperature adjustments, so the seat gets rather hot in short time - too hot to leave on during a long drive in frigid weather. One can fry an egg on it if left on! Over all, this is the best car that I've owned and this is my 11th vehicle, 5 of those being Toyota makes, over my 52 years. Most critics complain that the Prius is gutless and cheap looking. If you feel that way, then buy a Lexus LS for 73k instead. I wanted a frugal car that I could afford and will last! The Toyota Prius fits my needs and won't dump me on the side of the road. It's reliable!
