Great Service
I took my car in the early morning (weekday) for minor maintenance and to check why my airbag light was on. Mr. Will took great care to assist and communicate with me during my time at the dealership. The minor maintenance did not take as long as I had expected and I was told they had to order the part for my seatbelt and would let me know when it would arrive.

The dealership was very clean (even the bathroom), the coffee station and waiting area were nice and comfortable and everyone that I encountered was pleasant.

The only suggestion I would make is if you are going to offer 'car wash' that the car is actually clean. My car looked like they washed it with dirty water. I had to take it to a 'Car Wash' when I left.

Quick follow-up and much improved service...
I had reported earlier regarding my rather disappointing experience with Pohanka Hyundai. I, however, was pleasantly surprised when I received a prompt response from a young lady by the name of Asia Coleman. We had a long, reassuring conversation over the phone a few weeks ago and she promised me that she'll try her best to work with me to fix the problems I'd listed in my previous submission.

It took me a while to get to the dealership since we live far from the location but I finally had the opportunity of meeting Asia on Feb. 18. Asia gave us a five-star treatment and worked diligently and professionally to assist. While the wheel alignment is still not 100% perfect (and that can be attributed to my over-analyzing nature),

Asia was instrumental in taking care of my concerns. She has promised to mail me the all-weather mats once they are available later this week.

All in all, the young lady is an asset to the dealership. She's a keeper and I'm glad we connected. I always appreciate people's demeanors and mannerisms and I want to give Asia a big thumbs up.

I lease two vehicles every 2-3 years and because of Asia's helpfulness, I might consider switching to the Hyundai brand for all my vehicles.

They need to improve...
I bought a brand new 2019 Elantra on December 30, 2018. During the test drive, I noticed that I had to move the steering wheel towards the right side to make the vehicle drive straight. However, my concern was shrugged off as nothing at the time of sale. I signed the paperwork and took the car home. The problem persisted. I informed my salesperson over the phone and was asked me to bring the car back for a checkup.

Additionally, I was receiving the signal about the "Forward Collision Avoidance System" being disabled.
A third problem was that the interior heating system did not kick in until the thermostat was raised to 76 degrees.
Will, from Service, texted me on Jan. 15 asking me to contact him if I needed anything. At once, I told him about all the problems. I, however, did not receive any response. I wondered what happened. No response AT ALL. Will's communication was not up to the mark.

A few days later, I went to the dealership to collect the car. The Forward Collision Avoidance System disabled message stopped appearing. However, the steering problem still remains. The heating issue is persistent. Moreover, the car was crazy dirty, both interior and exterior at the time it was handed over back to me.

Granted that they'd worked on it for several days, I was promised a detailed cleaning job when I dropped it off. We had been promised to detail because they'd not done a good job at the time of delivery on December 30. They simply did not follow through on the promise.

Deshawn, our salesperson, is super nice. The manager, Michael Webb, was also very great. I was overall disappointed when I saw two out of three issues still unresolved and the car was dirty inside out. There was also a little damage in the cup holder area.

I'm profoundly concerned and I don't want to go back to the dealership or the service center again. I just want the hassle of explaining matters a million times and still coming back frustrated. Also, the location is more than 30 miles away from where I live. With that said, I want my designated service center moved around the zip code 20850.

I don't care much about this aspect. The place does need a bit of an upgrade but if they're doing good business, no one should care. What I do care about is their level of customer service. The dirty condition left an indelible and negative impact on my mind. Plus, those two unresolved issues are issues after all.

I really do want to "love" you
I love my 2018 Sonata. I love the enthusiasm and attention I get when I arrive at the dealership for servicing. I don't love that you continually try to sell what is not needed as if it really is needed. John Maxwell said in one of his books that there is no degree of integrity. Either you have it or you don't.

Hyundai says that my transmission should be serviced at 60,000 miles. In ignorance, I allowed my transmission, at the urging of your service rep to service mine at 34,000 miles. He told me it was due at 30,000. I paid. At 52,000, the same representative tried to get me to purchase it again. By this time, I knew better and pushed back. As a result, they didn't even do a complete inspection or tire rotation. I guess I wasn't worth the money. Now, I'm in at 58,000 miles and guess what? Same stuff, just a different rep on a different day. Pohanka must make a pretty good profit on transmission servicing. That's the only way can imagine why you would attempt to sell it every 15,000 to 30,000 miles when the manufacturer says 60,000 miles.

I also don't understand why it would take almost 3 hours to change oil and perform a tire rotation. The sign on the door says otherwise.

The work you do seems to be top notch. I've never had any problems with my car. The guys speak with authority and intelligence. As a business owner and someone who's spent the last 15 years in sales, it's just my opinion that if you want to upsell and maintain integrity, something say something like this, "even though the manufacturer recommends this service at 60,000 miles, we've found that performing it at ___________ miles keeps the car performing at a higher level." ..... if that is what you've actually found.

At little lie is still a lie.
