I called the dealership. I spoke with chip who talked to a tech. I asked if I could come by the dealership for some advice (willing to pay) since I had all the trim panels off to expose wiring.
When I got to the dealership I told the service writer what I needed, he was helpful and polite. I explained that I wanted to confirm that the wiring plug I had located was the correct one. Two techs explained to me that palisades that don’t come from the factory with hitches aren’t pre wired for light and brakes. (Not true).
Neither one of the two “machanics” gave me any other input and walked away with a shitty attitude.
Chip and I worked with the parts lady and figured out there must be a different part but couldn’t find what that would be.
Long story short, it’s been a long time since I was totally blown off and treated like what I needed didn’t matter.
Fyi there wasn’t another customer anywhere to be seen in the service dept.
These guys need to be reminded who pays there pay check and need to be educated on the product line.
I had called the dealership 3 weeks prior to request a quote to install a hitch, brake controller and 7 pin plug. He asked if he could call me back and I never heard back.
