Absolutely terrible service and communication. Wrote a negative Google review (please read) and tried to contact the general manager Steve he never returned my phone call. If he was a GOOD general manager he would have read my review and reached out to me instead of me having to call him. Stay away from this service department. I will be using another Hyundai dealership for service!

Poor Customer Service at Horne Hyundai
Regarding the Horne Hyundai dealer in Apache Junction Arizona: I made an appointment (three weeks in advance) for the recall on my Hyundai 2012 Elantra ABS system. The service group in this dealership was a fiasco. After waiting for my car for an hour, the service advisor told me that they don't have the part and needs to be ordered. He also said "don't blame us blame Hyundai". I said aren't we standing in the Hyundai Service Department? I also told him I didn't want a multi point inspection and he did it anyway. The ironic part about that is I just had my spark plugs changed and my transmission oil changed and they told me in the inspection report that those two items were recommended to be changed but with a big fat Hyundai price tag attached.

I was totally pissed and this was a huge waste of my time. Question, Why didn't the service advisor "Steve" call me if the part wasn't here? I highly don't recommended this dealership, specifically the service department.

Brought it in for one recall and Emily did great on keeping me updated on how long it would take and what else would be needed to be done, went to come back today 11/9/23 without a appointment because of a oil leak in one of the spark plugs but she wasn’t around at the time so someone else took me :( Will schedule with here again though.

While waiting for the vehicle to arrive, took some time due to scarcity and popularity of this vehicle, we were kept informed of the status by Charlie who was great throughout the whole process.
We were in fact very impressed by all the staff who assisted us

I purchased a car here a year ago and was given a 30k mile maintenance warranty. However, that contract was set up to be at 7,500 mile intervals, yet this dealership decided I needed them at every 5,000 miles. Got the run around, that they can't help its the manufacturer not them, but I call the manufacturer and am told that they are the ones that have to change this and that I should have been made aware of this from the service department, my salesman, and from finance. I wasn't made aware of this by anyone and now I'm told at 21k miles my service contract is over when I followed this dealerships recommended services. Apparently this dealership considers driving too and from work extreme circumstances and decides this for you, going against their own contract, and they cant do anything to fix it for you. This is why everyone says car dealerships are sleezy and money hungry.

Refuses warranty work on new vehicles
We brought in our new 2022 Hyundai Palisade for service. Our rear bumper back up sensors started to throw errors that 'back up sensors are broken or blocked' when placed in reverse. This is a brand new, 5 month old SUV.
After 4 hours, we called for an update, only to be told that they can't diagnose or troubleshoot the issue. They have no idea how to proceed and need to call their 'Specialist' and send him videos for help.
After the 5th hour, we get a phone call that they think our rear sensors might have been in an impact and it will cost $179 to remove the bumper and run diagnostic tests...on a brand new, bumper to bumper warrantied vehicle, with no body/paint damage anywhere.
They refuse to remove the bumper and run diagnostics on a warrantied vehicle, without me agreeing to pay $179. They claim there is a very minor scratch or scuff mark in the general area of the rear bumper and that may be the cause of the "4 or more sensors across the entire rear of the vehicle failing". There are no scratches or scuff marks, just an attempt to refuse warrantied work and bully customers for another payout.

Horne Hyundai once again provides exceptional service for my quarterly check-up.
I was assured by Michael Saenz that they would provide a two-hour realignment of my tires as well as an oil change. This happened just as Michael had said...not only was the service accomplished in under the two hours, the car actually drove and sounded better than when I brought it in for servicing...and this car is practically brand new.
However, I have become spoiled by now as I practically expect this type of magic to be performed almost every time I bring my vehicle into Horne Hyundai and, in particular, to Mike Saenz and his crew.

We recently purchased a 2022 Hyundia Sonat a SEL, and we were notified that it was due for servicing. We went to Horne Hyundia because it was close to our residence, even though we purchased the vehicle at another dealership, as Horne did not have what we were looking for at the time. Not only is this dealership close to our home, but we were very pleased with the whole process of getting out car serviced!!, The entire staff was very professional and courteous, we will definitely be a return customer at Horne Hyundia!!
