Correctly performing emission repairs requires more technical skill than ever. Because we've evolved to meet today's needs, we also have evolved to handle much more than just emission repairs. Since we opened in 1988, emissions standards have evolved to OBDII in the 1990's to the Tier 2 Epa standards of the modern market. The new standards have acronyms like: Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV), Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV), and Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV).
In order to attain these new standards vehicles have had to rely on more efficient production out of all of the vehicles systems. Today, if your car has a P420 or P430 code, there is likely more going on than just a bad cat. These issues, if ignored by other shops still working with a 1980's mentality (just cut and replace the cat), can lead to even more serious damage to your vehicle.
