Basically this is my wife's car. She hardly drives which explains why a 1997 STS has 49,000 miles on the odometer. It is quick. What would you expect from 8 cylinders. Gets about 17 miles per gallon but keep in mind it hardly ever sees a highway. No rattles, seats are in good shape and holds the road very well. The team at the Auto Center do the servicing without my seeing terrible bills. Just the normal maintenance with one exception. That being we lose air conditioning freon. Possible condenser leak which we have not fixed due to cost/benefit analysis.
