1998 Ford Club Wagon
I bought a Ford Club Wagon new in 1998 and am still driving it; the vehicle currently has slightly more than 220,000 miles. The vehicle has been reliable, comfortable and safe. When we purchased the van my wife was more interested in purchasing a Chevrolet Suburban, I am glad I did not listen to her. The van made it possible to get to things while we were traveling without having to stop and open doors. The van has also proven to be a good utility vehicle, all the seats (except front driver and passenger) and be removed, which creates a large space for moving almost anything. I believe changing the oil regularly and performing required maintenance as scheduled is what has allowed me to keep this van running for so long. I purchased an anti-slip rear differential and Triton 5.7 V8 in this van. These features have really give the vehicle the power and traction to go anywhere. I have driven the vehicle in all weather conditions and have found it to have good handling and traction - I have never gotten stranded in high-water or snow.
