Better than advertised.
I have really enjoyed using my 2018 expedition Max as it has really good acceleration as well as a smooth quiet ride. I almost went with a 2018 Denali XL but the Expedition has about two extra inches ground clearance even though 2 inches less exterior length. As for fuel economy it prefers 89 octane mid grade gas, but running from Coeur d’Alene to Utah at 80mph , I get average of 21.5 MPG. Vs 19-20 with lower grade. So follow the owners manual on 89 octane!!
The Expedition has an awesome sound system and a quiet ride like a rolling concert. I got the one with 301 package so only rear camera on it. If I could have had the 302 package with 360 camera coverage i would have chosen it for tight spaces like parking garages. The infotainment firmware could use an update as it is at least 3 years old for a 2018. All in all, VERY pleased with it and it is a joy to drive every time. Oh, your salesman might not mention this as your finance guy in the back office will.
They will try to upsell you on a northwest interior package to add into your payment plan. IF YOU CAN PAY separate for it ($300 range) do it. They will add these rubber ribbed bucket well type floor mats which will keep water and dirt off the floor carpet where your feet rest as well as a fabric stain and tear protection that is warranted for 7 years. Add this if you can as it will help with snow, rain, mud and dirt on your floors. Get the Expedition if you can afford it. Its worth it!
