Not reliable

Had to replace transmission within the first 5000 miles. Was left stranded in a parking garage after work and had to have vehicle towed to dealership. Dealer was unable to locate issue when I took it there 6 weeks earlier for transmission issues

Love my Kona

Sporty AWD smaller SUV that packs a bang for your buck!! Great gas mileage, dependable, confident to drive it in any weather or terrain. It’s perfect for me! I will be driving my Kona for years to come.

LOVE MY NEW KONA!

Love my Kona. First time Hyundai owner. Car is zippy and drives better than the 2021 Toyota Rav I test drove. Love the sunroof and the leather seats. Car makes tight U turns. Very spacious considering it is a small SUV. LOVE MY NEW CAR!

Love our Kona. Like the safety feature that came standard in our Hyundai. Other manufacturers have as "options" that increase the purchase price and decrease the used value of the vehicle if and when sold.

My first Hyundai and I love it.

Love the interior as well as the exterior. A couple of the other cars I test drove were kind of boring inside. This one, though not leather interior is very nicely done. Very nicely styled vehicle and has all the extras I wanted.but didn't think I could afford. Plus the warranties are excellent.

I'm dissatisfied with engine performance and lack of leg room in the back and storage area.

Intermittently, the engine hesitates, stalls, sometimes slow pick up during acceleration. Extreme lack of leg room in back seats. After my first visit for the recall, my steering wheel began to sound rough when turned. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.

What's not to like? My Kona endures all weather elements with ease. Its performance offers stability, a smooth ride, dependability and top value. It exceeds our family's needs. The console emergency break is an asset! Suggestion: Electric driver seat in the SEL!

Love my new car

The Kona is everything I wanted it to be and much more -- the sunroof and the turbo were just icing on the cake when I got to test drive :-) when researching the car online the description said black seats which wasn't my favorite but not a deal breaker for me, but when I showed up to look at the car and it had grey leather seats I knew this was my car

You get a lot for what you pay! Awesome car!

Really enjoying this car so far. The value for the price is unmatched. Very attractive and fun to drive. I'm very tall and this is very comfortable to ride in than other small cars. Unless you put it in sport mode it seems to have very slow acceleration in first & second gear. Once it shifts into 3rd its very quick after that.

The Best

The feel of driving the Kona is excellent. The ride is wonderful. Would definitely recommend the Kona. No complaints. Handles easy and control of the vehicle is right up there. I would definitely purchase another Kona as long as it is the top model.

Fun daily commuter

Driving the Kona to work each day makes the journey a bit more fun. The turbo engine provides plenty of power and the interior comforts are amazing. This vehicle is a great value does the money and great driving experience on top.

Possible future problems

Car is being recalled for piston rings with only 4K miles on engine. Really don't like the idea of needing a new motor in the first year of ownership. The transmission also is 'jerky' shifting, not smooth at all and dealer say's it fine.

Excellent vehicle

I love this vehicle, it drives so well and is fun to drive as well. It is a very nice looking car for both men and women. Vehicle is on the smaller side so it doesn't carry a whole bunch of stuff, but it is well worth the purchase

Very nice, Stylish car!

I have owned and leased other Hyundais in the past. Great quality, warrantee, drive-ability, service and sales people are always courteous and helpful. Hyundai has had some recalls in the last few years, but they were handled correctly. Overall, very satisfied with my experience with them.

Loving this car!

I am a short, older female. I didn’t want a huge SUV but I wanted something along the lines of a small SUV. The Kona is perfect. Fun to drive. All of the room I need. So many features to customize my preferences from the seats to the entertainment system. It is not complicated when it comes to adjusting these settings. I especially love the headlights/visibility at night. It’s easy to park and the gas mileage is great. And my grandsons like riding in it since it’s such a “cool” car.
