2008 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG.
This is about a 2008 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG. Although plenty of this car can be found around, this particular one is special. The SL55 AMG - is a roadster from Mercedes Benz under the car designation R230. When introduced in 2003, the SL55 AMG had the supercharged M113K V8 engine. The "K" designate "kompressor" which is German for supercharger. Although this engine received critique from being "cheaper" build than its predecessor - the legendary M119 - it is an fantastic engine with a deep note to it. What makes the 08 models year special is that it was the last year of the supercharged M113K engine - and the 08 year the engine received a performance increase from about 480 HP to 510 HP. This engine can also be found in the G55 AMG of same year. Also the above vehicle have the AMG performance package called the 030 option. A $15.000.- extra option when new! There are only a handfull of these cars - of this year, with this option in the US. This package gives the car the frontbumper from the SL65 AMG, with can be identified by two small gills on each side in front of the front wheels - also the brakes comes from the SL65 AMG, which include 8 piston calipers, and only 19 inch wheels can fit over it. The 030 option also include a limited slip differential, and a Nurburgring suspension setup. The steering wheel have a race like alcantara midsection and the interior have carbon fiber trim.... REAL carbonfiber...!
