Reliable and right sized

Always liked the look of the 2nd gen Pathfinder, compared to angled 3rd gen with the wheel flares or the rounded 4th gen. The shifter cluster could have utilized better space than a shallow cubby area like on the QX4 of the same era (where the 4WD shifter used to be - this had switched to on-the-fly knob). The seatbelt retractors suck. Visibility out of the rear of the vehicle is excellent compared to newer vehicles - even cars have such high trunks it's impossible to see out the back without the camera. The rear seats could've been designed better for folding but you don't do that very often. Handling while a bit nose heavy is predictable, making wet and icy driving more confident. The stock premium audio head unit radio was fine, but the CD changer sucked, not helped by the weird wiring of the Bose speakers. A bit dated with the 4-speed automatic, but it gets up to speed very quick for a ICE SUV of the era, and comes with a full sized spare. Adjusting the headlamps is more complicated than it needs to be (lots of little dumb engineering decisions done) but actually changing them out is simple compared to an Altima of the same era.

Okay as it get me to where I need to go

Pathfinder is okay as it gets me to and from , I am very in need of a vehicle and this one will get me back and forth. It needs some more work done on it so I will take it back to Garcia to get the work done

My Pathfinder

I purchased my Nissan Pathfinder used several years ago in Petaluma, California. The car had high mileage on it, but was in terrific condition. The car had previously had one owner who took great care of it and kept meticulous records. I have put thousands of miles on this vehicle with never a problem. Recently I had the car worked on when the first problem I have experienced reared it's head. The problem turned out to be a minor adjustment, costing me less than $600 to repair. Considering that I have put several thousand miles on the car in the last five years, I have nothing to complain about. The Nissan Pathfinder has been a super reliable vehicle, comfortable, safe, and very enjoyable. I look forward to one day purchasing a newer version of the same car.
