Best Vehicle of 2012

Wanted to get away from the gas station and that's what we did! There have been occasions when the low fuel level warning occurs because we forget to look at the gauge for 3-4 weeks! We love the economy. The Plug-In is comfortable, excellent lumbar support, roomy for us and our 2 goldens who pile in the back.

Prius Plug-in Vehicle Very Satisfying

I had my first Prius for 11 years and when someone crashed into and totaled it, I knew I wanted another one. I was able to find a low milage 2012 Plug-in model and snapped it up. It's as much fun to drive as my first Prius, but this time I'm able to drive around town (which are most of my miles) using only the electric motor. For the first tankful of gas, I was getting over 75 mpg. I feel good knowing that I am using as little gasoline as I can with no inconvenience to my family.

I Love My Plug-In Prius

I purchased my vehicle online, sight unseen, as soon as I learned that Toyota had finally produced a plug in model of their excellent Prius. I was disappointed to find it only provides about 12 miles on a plug in, but in fact that covers, or comes close to covering, the majority of our trips...groceries, banking, etc. When we are not traveling long distances I regularly get 80+ MPG. When we travel long distances and don't plug in we still get a consistent 50 MPG, even when traveling over the mountains between here and AZ. I've had nothing wrong in the five years I've had it. It is my forever car.

An Outstanding Product of Modern Engineering, Best I've Owned In Nearly 60 Years!

Reliable, comfortable and most economical. Very often exceeds 500 miles per tankful of fuel because we make many short local trips and recharges are frequent. Absolutely love visiting a filling station just a little more frequently than once per month. After nearly 4 years, continues to provide a comfortable trouble-free ride with no major mechanical failures or shortcomings in support systems or equipment. Everything still works and works well! Hoping to own and drive this vehicle a total of at least 9 years before replacement.

2012 Prius Plug-In: Do I LOVE this car or what?!

Transitioned from a pimped-out 2005 Prius with 159k+ miles that I'd bought brand-new. I am *so* glad I went with a plug-in: I bought it in August 2015, and since then have gotten 65+ mpg on every tank, with the highest being 82 mpg. We only live 3.1 miles from work, so I can go days without ever having to use the gasoline engine. (FYI, compatible with the Nissan Leaf plug.) We had a sunroof installed too--my car is now close to perfect. I do wish it had come with a heated steering wheel (thank you, Nissan, for spoiling my husband and me), and the stereo is only a little above average. Other than those minute details, I look forward to 100k+ miles with my awesome car.
