Just purchased

Well let’s start by saying I love sequoias. I had a 2002 that got totaled by an uninsured motorist. I’d had it for 17 years and the last year I had it it needed a little work. Valve cover gaskets. I trusted that car completely and it had 212,000 miles. I replaced it with a 2007 with 141,000 miles. Some of the recent costs were due to prior ownership not taking good care of it. But I immediately had to replace the gear shift arm because it broke. I just had to have the serpentine belt and pully replaced. And besides brakes on all fours the brake fluid and power steering fluid were both black and needed flushed. Hopefully it will be as trustworthy as my last one. Time will tell. It is a beauty.

Love my Sequoia

Have had my 2007 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4x4 since new. It has held up well and currently have 171k. No premature wearing of either interior or exterior parts. Will buy another new one after this wears out. You get what you pay for. More expensive up front, and have been watching friends Tahoe's and Armadas die prematurely with nickel and diming at 100k. Save your money and buy one of these.

Love this ride!

I've got 166,000 miles on this vehicle and it still rides like new. While my other friends large SUVs (not a Toyota) have been riddled with nuisance issues such as poor mechanical reliability as well as premature wear and tear on other interior and exterior components, I have been super happy with my purchase.

Best SUV Ever!

Have had my 2007 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4x4 since new. Currently have 148k miles and it's been a great investment compared to other SUVS I've seen that have imploded at 100k. Tows my Seadoo like nothing is back there and especially over our Washington State mountains. Would buy again without a doubt.

07 sequoia

Overall I have been happy with my 2007 Sequoia, there are some things about it though that are extremely irritating. First the good- It has been mechanically dependable. It has enough power. It has plenty of room for everyone. Then the not so good- Right after the 60K mile point my VSC off, TSC, and Check Engine light came on and I've brought it in to Toyota 4 times, got different things looked at and replaced but the warning lights are still on? It runs ok but the lights make me a little nervous and why can't Toyota figure out what it is? 1 more thing- The cheap plastic parts on the interior of the vehicle such as the back cubby door won't stay on - I think we paid too much for this vehicle Then the bad- I back latch on the door lift is SOOOOO stupid. It has spent almost as much time nonfunctional as it has functional. When it stops working you can't open the back lift gate. It's extremely inconvenient and it also means you can't get to your spare tire. The first time it broke was like 100 miles after the factory warranty, then its stopped working once or twice a year every year since. Toyota worked on it almost every time then we got tires of giving them $300+ every time it broke and the last time we fixed it ourselves. It is really, really annoying to get to the malfunctioning part, it's pretty much an all day job. They say that dust gets into the mechanism that releases the latch so it cannot function properly, I feel like it's a design flaw that should be corrected. 4 wheel drive vehicles should not be so sensitive to dirt! I don't even drive mine off road and it keeps breaking. Toyota should fix it but they still use this design in several of their models. I believe the fact that you cannot access your spare tire when it is non-functional makes it a safety issue. Toyota should redesign this system and recall all models affected.

Love my Sequoia

Had this beast since new and just pushed 137,000 miles. Comfy, reliable, and not bad gas mileage as I'm getting between 16-18. Reliability has been awesome. Wouldn't own anything else.
