Good things DO come in small packages
We drive on icy rural roads as well as in big cities. In the past 10 years, our new cars have been: Elantra, Forester, Tucson. We now need the car higher off the ground for ease of entry/exit (= why we gave up the Elantra). We take long car trips, so seat comfort is a must (= why we gave up the Forester). We needed more floor space in the garage (= why we gave up the Tucson, which we otherwise ADORED). We are dunderheads with all the new car tech, so ease of operation is a must. We like to love our cars and keep them a long time. Our research suggested the Kona, and probably the N Line for its peppier engine. Hard to find new ones to test drive because of The Supply Chain but eventually a new Kona came in at the dealer, we were first in line to test-drive it, it truly fit the bill, so we bought it. It's a bit closer to the ground than the Tucson was, but still easy entry/exit what with to get in & out of what with arthritic neck/knees/hips/back. Have had it a month, including bad winter weather of the upper Midwest, stable on the ice and ABS gets the job done if you must brake hard to avoid an idiot. One long-ish road trip and seats were comfy throughout. Husband thinks the sound system is great and loves how the wheels look, ha ha. So far, so good.
