Perfect for my life

I went from a 2013 Nissan Sentra that had some fundamental issues to this 2021 Prius Prime. I've enjoyed the driving on it and of course the ability to use electric for shorter distances. I definitely recommend this car too. Anyone looking for a nice car for road trips and just getting around.

Mixed

Love the ride, smooth, best mileage. Squirrels love the wires... real problem. No donut, real headache. Mechanically great car so far. Low bumpers and fenders aren't the novice curb rider. Haven't gassed it up in months... saving that dough!! For the squirrel repairs.

3 years and still running strong

I've reviewed my Prius Prime 3 times now, and it is still one of the best, most comfortable, good handling and fuel efficient cars I have ever owned. I may be losing a little of the "Battery Only" mileage, as it seems that it runs 15-20 miles, instead of 20-25 before kicking into hybrid. This is a great car!

Now 3 years with this plug-in hybrid Prius Prime

As I've reviewed in the past - this is the best vehicle I've owned. I can go 20-30 miles on battery only (more when not freeway driving) and the handling, safety features, room (I can transport my bicycle and other large loads when the seats are down) and comfort are all positives. I wish the 2021 had a rear window-wiper and spare tire - the added weight would be negligible.

2+ years owning this 1st Prius Prime and I still love it!

After several years with the Prius hybrid, I took "the dive" part-way into an EV. This plug-in hybrid gives me 25-35 miles on the battery; less when really cold or on the freeway... which means most of my trips cost nothing. I use the 110V charging cable in my garage and it takes about 4 hours to fully charge. On longer trips, using the gas-hybrid - the car gets 55-65mpg and has a range of about 600 miles. The car handles very well when using the battery only. When it runs out, there is a slight pause (passengers don't notice, but I do) when it switches to gas-hybrid. Acceleration is always good, but if you're heavy on it - the mileage isn't as good. So - as a retired LE, I've stopped driving like a cop and everyone is happier/safer :)) I still miss the rear wiper and spare tire, AND - if I had 1 suggestion, it would be to add enough battery for 50 miles, and reduce the size of the gas tank. Doing that would help me not have to use any gas, except for longer trips. Even a 400 mile range is more than enough for me.
