Love this car

After 12 years on the road and 186,000 miles she still looks good and performs great. Yes, I have had to make a few repairs to it, but far less than many SUV’s twice the price. Really ahead of it’s time for 2007 and I noticed that many companies are using their style and luxury today.

Subaru Tribeca.... nice ride... poor MPG

We bought this car for my wife from a good friend who moved out of state. The car was maintained immaculately and doesn't look even close to its age. It rides very nice, is quiet, has abundant power... but I believe my wife insisted on buying it for the heated seats. They are nice in the winter. The three complaints I have would be that the head rest can not be positioned in any comfortable position for me. It doesn't rotate and forces my head to far forward to be comfortable for any length of time. Second, is the MPG. We expected to be able to get a combined rate of at least 20 MPG if not better. We've not been able to get more than 15 even for Hwy. Lastly, its is hard for the home mechanic to do maintenance such as plug changes. They are located low and in-between the frame rails... it is necessary to put the car on a lift to do the job. I did, however, get the alternator changed myself... it took a bit and fortunately my hands aren't very large. Oh... and one more thing... as a mini van driver myself, I'm used to lots of good visibility 360 degrees. The rear view out of the Tri feels a bit tunnel vision-esque.

Subaru Tribeca

Our Tribeca has 147k miles on it and going strong, thanks to regular maintenance by good mechanics. It is a nice riding car with plenty of room for people and cargo. With a V6 engine there is plenty of zip, when you need it. The mileage is about 20 mpg highway and 17 when it is just in town driving.

A Keeper

I purchased my Subaru in UT in 2010. I am amazed at how it handles in ice and snow. I was disappointed to find they no longer make this model, because it is head and shoulders above any other car on the road. Even the brand new cars do not rise up to the quality of this one. It is ten years old and everyone thinks it is brand new. I try to take good care of it as it takes good care of me. I don't travel a lot, but when I do I know I can always depend on this car to perform above my expectations. Please tell Subaru to bring back the B9 Tribeca. vI was given a brand new loaner at the dealership several months ago. It was not a B9 Tribeca and I told the service manager I would not trade my 10 year old vehicle for three of their loaners. That car was very poor quality in comparison.

Good to Excellent Vehicle

I have not had the vehicle long enough to really get to know it, and to form an opinion; but, I liked it as soon as I drove it. I need a good all-wheel drive vehicle and Subaru has an excellent reputation. There are a few minor things wrong with the vehicle, but I'm sure they will be fixed without a problem. It is a full-sized SUV that is capable of seating up to 7 people, as long as the people are fairly short-legged. :) The true test of this vehicle will be when I have to run it through snow covered streets. As of right now I give it 4.5 Stars.

5-star car, minus a minor one.

Phenomenal vehicle. Subaru through and through... Except for the gas mileage... It's horrid! Love everything else... Rugged and luxurious, sporty and practical, roomy yet handles like a smaller car. Will buy the next full-sized Subaru!
