2020 Outback

Car runs well, very reliable and all the important safety features work as advertised. Ergonomically car is not so great. They advertise XX cubic feet of storage space, they don't tell you it;s 2 inches here, 3 inches there to the point of half of the locations are useless to try and use. There's 2 USB ports in the front, you have to put the car into drive to be able to access them to plug something in or out. If you drop something next to the seat, consider it lost for ever as no way you can get your hand down there to get anything out. And while the safety features all work, they work to the point of being over annoying.

Love my Outback

This is my 4th Subaru. Will continue to have them. Like everything about them except for the new ones with the computer screens and lack of solid knobs and buttons for the heatin/air condition system.

Outback fits needs for a growing traveling family

Coming to grips with the reality of aging vehicles and reduced room for handling two car seats and still having room for groceries and a stroller is tough - but the outback has it covered! From having comfortable room for a family of four, there is still room and adaptability in the trunk, great venting for air circulation and no sacrifice for comfort! The new navigation and buttons will take some getting used to, but the comfortable drive and hands-free benefits of unlocking the doors and trunk are going to be a lifesaver with hands full of little ones and groceries.

I Regret Buying this Car

I “upgraded” from the 2017 model to the 2020 model and it’s a huge step backward. The electronics features on this car are so bad and the voice commands don’t work at all. I paid for the Subaru STARLINK and had to use once when the engine decided to die while I was in the left lane of a highway in Miami at dusk. STARLINK said that they could send help in 4-6 hours and will only tow the car, my passengers and I were on our own to get a ride off the highway. Thankfully no one was injured or killed because of the vehicle malfunction and STARLINK’s poor customer service. Also there are sensors in the car that fail and continue to show a warning despite the fact that the issue was remedied. The latest is that the wiper fluid indicator will not shut off despite the receptacle being full. And customer service is bad.

2020 Outback

We bought ours brand new and have put many miles on it. During the warranty period we had issues with struts leaking. It was taken care of without a question. Since the warranty we have only had it in for one repair after 110,000 miles. I consider that a fairly decent vehicle. It has served us well in all kinds of weather conditions. It is very comfortable on long drives and my wife loves the adaptive cruise control. The only negative thing I can think of is the tire size and quality from the factory is definitely lacking. They are thin and don't match the capabilities of this vehicle. I highly recommend a heavier duty tire.

Although I have been a staunch forestor driver and find these cars to be comfortable and reliable…i made the switch to this outback for comfort due to several back injuries and loved the seat support.

Best car for our needs!

Our 2020 Outback XT is a great car. Powerful turbocharged engine, very good fuel economy, and a 6-foot long cargo area with the rear seat folded down. I don't any other manufacturer can match all this for the price of an Outback. Engine is almost sleeping at an 80 mph Interstate cruise, turning only 2,000 rpm.

so far so good

I bought a 2020 Subaru outback off the lot and decided to put a lift on it and bulk up the tires. The aftermarket lift may have not been the best idea because it ended up needing to be fixed recently due to a broken bracket but i get so many compliments on my Outback. It's kind of weird how many people comment on the lift when I can barely tell it was lifted. I guess the people that know, know! I love the lane assist feature I feel safe driving in snow and off road. The only thing that erks me is where the lights, eye glass holder & sunroof button are rattles all the time and it's pretty annoying .

Low quality parts - compromised safety

I bought a new Subaru Outback Outdoors XT in 2020. After about 33000 km the car started to shake at breaking. Their own service people said that the rotors were warped and needed replacement. However, since it was 'more than 1 year old' they refused to replace the defective parts, and quoted me over $700 for parts and labour. I am very disappointed with Subaru's quality. They are certainly not as safe as they advertise, and have zero interest in looking after their customers. I would never buy another Subaru again, and would recommend to stay away from the brand that uses low quality parts and offers no regard for their customers.

Just drove 50 miles in a snow storm and my Subaru did awesome. Handles nicely and I have badness snow tires as well.This is my 3rd Subaru.

Very sturdy, dependable automobile

I owned a Subaru Outback for thirteen years with very few issues. When it was time to turn it in I leased my present Outback and have not been disappointed. It has a very smooth ride and I always feel quite safe in it due to its safety features and dependability.

Happy camper

My 2020 Outback Onyx XT has been my favorite vehicle so far. I loved my '82 Ford Bronco but this Scooby is great for my current needs without going to far one way or another. My family enjoys the outdoors and we can go hit the campgrounds that we wish with no trouble so far. Stock tires are the only thing that really needs to be changed for the ease of the trails but we've been able to hit every trail so far, just slower and more cautiously. Most of my time is spent on the road so having a comfortable ride with good gas miles has been wonderful. Of corse there are some things that can be made better, i.e. infotainment system and roof rack, but overall I am extremely happy with this Scooby and looking forward to the adventures it take us on.

I love my Subaru - It's been on my wish list for quite some time. My Subaru is so comfortable to drive and I love all of the safety features. Love the heated steering wheel and seats! So many features that keep me on track while driving. Comfortable to carry my parents around and space in the back for anything. I LOVE MY SUBARU !!!
